My name is Asa Maas, I grew up in Vermont and studied for my Bachelor of Architecture degree at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. I was raised in a rural, residential community in Vermont, where building and carpentry were essentially a part of life. Watching and helping my childhood home be built as I grew up, and have since continued doing carpentry on various construction job sites, including residential homes. Something important to me is coming to architecture through visual art, this pushes my focus on representation which has always been an important part of the approach in my work.
